We (3 families) came together for Christmas and had a wonderful break The house is amazing and is very comfortable giving each family their own space while providing a super open plan living kitchen for them to get together. The grounds are lovely and pet friendly and the hot tub was a real touch of luxury. We used the BBQ and that worked well John and Dan are superb hosts and couldn’t do enough for us without being intrusive. We had a family meal at their chippie restaurant in Annan. The Royal Cafe. Well worth a visit I’m sure some of the family will return and if a group go it works out OK for price An unreserved 5 stars
Had a wonderful time, hosts, John and Dan, are so welcoming and the property surpassed all our expectations! Absolutely stunning house and gardens, immaculately clean and so well equipped for our party of 9, lots of little extra touches for the children (our grandson wanted to move in) and even the dogs were quite at home. We had planned to explore the area a little more but the weather wasn’t too good, didn’t matter anyway though as we were all reluctant to leave the property as it was so fabulous with so much to offer in the very private grounds. John and Dan were on hand and very responsive if we needed them but never intrusive. We also sampled their very yummy fish and chips on our first night so didn’t need to cook or look for anywhere to eat out. Overall, we all had an amazing time!
Honestly words cannot describe how good John and Dan’s place was. More often than not you expect the pictures to represent the best version of a place rather than the true reality, but with Bonshaw Grange the opposite is true. The pictures do not do the place justice. The decor, the space, the modern yet peaceful feel combined with the truly superb location make this a must stay place. John and Dan as well are truly amazing hosts and really made it feel special for our group. If you can find a space in the diary you would be truly lucky to stay here.
Quite simply the most incredible place we’ve ever stayed. We were a group of two families with small children (18mths, 3, 4 & 7) & it was an absolute joy for all of us. The decor is so playful & fun that the kids thought they were just in heaven (and so did we) & we were all able to have fun and relax (which obviously isn’t often the case when you go away with little people). Comfy beds, opulent bathrooms, amazing kitchen. We left trying to work out how we could put a veranda like that on our house as it was just such a wonderful space. The garden is a work of genius creating so many different areas for different times and moods. Walking along the river was an incredible cleansing back to nature experience. John and Dan are the kindest most considerate, generous hosts imaginable.
The accommodation is truly stunning, it is styled so beautifully ever corner draws your eye to something unique and this also includes the vast garden space, everything has been thought out to bring out its beauty. It oozes peace, tranquillity, relaxation and luxury. This is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed and we will be returning. John and Dan are warm and welcoming hosts and on hand if needed and we were made to feel very at home. Words can’t describe how beautiful this home is.

John and Dan were the perfect hosts. They couldn't have been more helpful and were so friendly. What an absolutely beautiful house, the photos don't do it justice at all. Everything was just great, we had the best time. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with friends and we are now thinking up the next excuse to come back again! Thank you both for everything.
We stayed at Bonshaw Grange for my friends 30th and couldn't have hoped for anywhere better. John & Dan are excellent hosts and have obviously put an incredible amount of time and effort into creating the perfect Airbnb. Even though the weather wasn't on our side for most of our stay it didn't impact us whatsoever as there was so much to do in and around the house. The hot tub, decking and BBQ areas are all covered so the rain didn't bother us at all. Thanks again John & Dan, we had an amazing and unforgettable time.
